Yasmine Braunhofer – when eyes are not enough to see
When Eyes are not enough to See
These drawings were born from observations of personal feelings and circumstances. Through line and colour the expression of my sentiment is created. I have joined my Scribbles (affectionately) with riddles to pose a question to myself, whether what I have lived was real or relevant to reality.
Infused in the drawings is the association between culture and imagination. My mixed heritage has always drawn my heart close to folklore, hence the application of text to drawing is natural.
When eyes are not enough to see we need our imagination to guide us.
Every action and moment has a meaning. In the drawings presented we will see a juxtaposition of real and unreal.
I say no more – Let you Feel
